Happy Newyear

Our best wishes for 2016

We enjoyed Christmas Eve with the family. Peter & me were surrounded by loved ones..we didn' t need more....It was perfect in all it's simplicity...

 I want to wish all my readers all the best for 2016.
We are grateful for all the great comments during the past year and we are fortunated to be able to work for all our customers, both new and old.

MY WISHES FOR 2016:
I hope you will have a wonderful year
That you'll dream dangerously an outrageously
That you'll make something that didn' t exist before you made it
That you will be loved
That you will be liked
That you will have people to love and to like in return
and, most importantly,
because I think there should be more kindness and more wisdom in the world right now,
 that you will, when you need to be, be wise and that you'll always be kind...

New years eve

The simplicity of it all...

It's simple ... to bring a different atmosphere for a decorator? Some people say yes, but I have to admit that this for this change my husband Peter is completely responsible and that it was anything but simple ... he felt the need to make the atmosphere in the room airy without being boring about it, because that was what I was most afraid of....I think he succeeded, despite my doubts ! Obviously nothing is forever and maybe there will be a lot more color again in the near future. We did have a lot of color in the past, so this is definitely not a point of no return....as you might think. I know that a lot of decorators hate working with these colorscemes, but we gladly accept any challenge !
I must also say that more and more customers do fall back on those subtle colors that some years ago were so popular, even though they were more warm white tones. Now, more and more of almost snowwhite to icy blue and green tones are chosen to combine. We are going to combine the sofa with some special print cushions, but for the moment is is already good as it is....one step at a time...

New Year's wishes

Dear readers,
Christmas Eve was as usual very nice & cozy. A quiet evening with our family and good food .... that's all we need. I foresee that preparations are done the day before so that  on Christmas Eve  I can spend my time with the family instead of in the kitchen .... For the last day of the year we will create the same atmosphere, but it is even still relaxer because we have no guests, although we always provide a beautifully decorated table in an intimate atmosphere.
On these last days of 2014 , I want to thank you all for the lovely comments and compliments that I received about my blog. As last year, once again we've got a lot of new clients through the blog and that alone is worth mentioning here because we are always grateful to be able to meet new people.
I am aware that I should post more, but I always try to make sure to take my time to make the posts and unfortunately I can not always provide the necessary time. Maybe it'll work better in 2015 ....
Anyhow , I want to show you some pictures of Christmas eve. For the decoration of our table this year we've chosen a combination of purple and green tones, which in my opinion was very successful ...
Remains for me to wish you a very nice end of year
and for 2015:
* Take good care for yourself and your loved ones
* Follow all your dreams and wishes
* Embrace changes
* Be thankful for the little things
* Dare and take occasional risks
* Get inspired
* Never give up
* Take care of your body and soul
* Give lots of love and expect nothing in return..
*Enjoy your interior....
Lots of love

See you again in 2015 ....

Wishful thinking....

Dear reader,
 I had a wonderful, quiet Christmas-evening with my family this year....I finally had some time to spend some time in the kitchen to prepare Christmas dinner. I prepared a nice pumpkin soup, a great stew of venison with homemade potato croquettes and cranberry sauce and ended with my home made chocolate cake....
Everyone enjoyed it !

It has been a strange year with lots of ups and downs...looking back on 2013 I must say that I also learned a great deal about a lot of things, but also about people...Overall it was a good year ....We also got a lot of new, interesting & lovely clients who found us through my blog,  for which I am very grateful.
I also want to thank all my other clients for the confidence they had in us. It always makes me very humble...

As tomorrow is the last day of this year I would like to make some wishes...:
* I wish you all a safe and healthy year
* I wish you an interior filled with the things you love the most
* I wish to find the time to post more on my blog...
* I wish people would  talk less and listen more
* I wish  you all  more quality time
* I wish you all the love you can get ! Given or taken: it's for free !

See you again next year !
Lots of love

To end, I would like to share some impressions of our Christmas....

Moving around.....again....

Dear readers,
                     The last few weeks we had such bad weather here in Belgium . Spring seemed to take  for ever to arrive and working in the garden was not an option... So we made a virtue of necessity and took the opportunity to chance the upstairs private rooms ...again.... Since quiet some time we felt the need to extend our dining area and as you can see, we moved a little bit around with our furniture....We moved our dining room to the former sitting area and made our sitting area back in front of the fireplace(where it once was...)The former dining room became a working area. We now feel as if we have more space and feel quiet happy with the results. We also painted the inside of our dutch cabinet in a green-blue lime paint.
                    At the bay window we installed our antique chaise-longue. It's a perfect place to read a book, as we have a lot of natural light coming in there. As you can see, we also put a lot of green objects around to add an extra color touch and it works ! See for yourself in the next pictures and let me know what you think about it.
I wish you all a wonderful and very sunny weekend !
